The TANDOOR PALACE Restaurant takes its name from one of the most important element in the cooking of North Indian Cuisine - the TANDOOR.
Tandoor is the Indian name for a igloo shaped clay oven. Unlike in a conventional oven, the Tandoori items are roasted in the middle of the oven by the heat of a open fire which is at the base of the Tandoor. The items being roasted are skewered by steel rod called 'sheeks' and lowered into the Tandoor. The walls of the Tandoor which is also heated by the same open fire is used to bake the naan/ breads/rotis. These breads are baked while stuck on the sides of the Tandoor. The bread dough is slapped against the sides of the oven and peeled off when crisply charred and blistered. This method of cooking originated in Afghanistan and was brought to India by Moghul rulers.
The TANDOOR PALACE Restaurant serves the best Indian cuisine in Poland, cooked by experienced Indian Chefs. Our Tandoor oven specialties include Chicken, Mutton and Paneer (home made cottage cheese) tikkas. Our Sizzlers are so fantatic that our competetor have started to imitate us.
